STATE DEPT: US will look at 'tools available' over North Korea nuke tests

The US remains skeptical over North Korea's reported hydrogen-bomb detonation, saying the results appear inconsistent with such a test.

PENTAGON: US-led air campaign against ISIS 'gathering pace and intensity'.

US officials refuse to confirm North Korea's claims

Russia reacts to North Korean report of hydrogen bomb testing

NORTH KOREA CLAIMS HYDROGEN BOMB TEST

North Korea claims it has successfully tested a hydrogen nuclear bomb.

If confirmed, it would be the country's fourth nuclear test since 2006.

The announcement on state television came after an earthquake had been detected in the north east of North Korea.

The claims from Pyongyang have led to condemnation from world powers, with North Korea already facing stringent sanctions over its nuclear programme.
