California Governor Declares State of Emergency Over Ongoing Gas Leak

Alabama judge attempts to ban gay marriage

The chief justice of the state courts for Alabama has ordered the county clerks to stop issuing marriage licenses to same sex couples.

PENTAGON: US-led air campaign against ISIS 'gathering pace and intensity'.

US Military Delays Adding Women Into Special Forces

US officials refuse to confirm North Korea's claims

Russia reacts to North Korean report of hydrogen bomb testing

NORTH KOREA CLAIMS HYDROGEN BOMB TEST

North Korea claims it has successfully tested a hydrogen nuclear bomb.

If confirmed, it would be the country's fourth nuclear test since 2006.

The announcement on state television came after an earthquake had been detected in the north east of North Korea.

The claims from Pyongyang have led to condemnation from world powers, with North Korea already facing stringent sanctions over its nuclear programme.
