Germany prosecuting hundreds who have travelled to Syria

The German justice minister confirmed that a local prosecutor has opened over one hundred cases against German citizens suspected of fighting in Syria.

More than seven hundred Germans have travelled to join ISIS and other extremist groups in recent years.

Ex-Australian PM Tony Abbott attacks islam

Australia's recently dumped Prime Minister Tony Abbott has urged Australians to promote the West's culture while calling on Muslims to do more to denounce terrorism and reclaim their faith.

Russia says it hit ISIS with submarine-launched missile for the first time

Russia's Defence Minister said that the Russian military had launched strikes for the first time in Syria from a submarine stationed in the Mediterranean.  Sergey Shoigu said that these strikes had been aimed at two terrorist strongholds around Raqqa. Julia Lyubova has more.

Sources Report Yahoo Will Not Spin Off Alibaba Stake

Yahoo has reportedly decided not to sell its 31 billion dollar stake in Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, according to sources cited by CNBC and The New York Times.

FIFA Vice President Agrees To Extradition To US

FIFA Vice President Juan Angel Napout, head of the South American
Football Confederation CONMEBOL has agreed to be extradited to the U.S
in a soccer corruption probe. Napout was detained on a US warrant in
Zurich last week for allegedly accepting bribes in exchange for
selling marketing rights to international soccer tournaments.

US House votes to implement visa restrictions

The U.S. House of Representatives has voted overwhelmingly to change how visa applications are reviewed and to restrict travel for people who  have already visited Iraq and Syria.

The change in the law comes in the wake of the mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, as law enforcement believes the couple was radicalized.

US to investigate after reports of Iran launching ballistic missiles

US Ambassador Samantha Power addressed reports that Iran allegedly
launched a ballistic missile in November. If verified, the action

Mexican drug cartel member sentenced in the U.S.


A member of the international drug ring by infamous king pin "El Chapo" has been sentenced by a US federal court to 17 years in prison.

A court in the state of New Hampshire has found Rafael Humberto Celaya Valenzuela guilty of trying to expand drug the cartel's reach into the United States.

The White House says Donald Trump has effectively disqualified himself from running for president after saying he would  prevent all Muslims from entering the country. 

The comments from the Republican front-runner were made in response to a terrorist attack in California which appear to be inspired by the Islamic State organization.

New Yorkers react to Trump's proposed Muslim ban

Republican candidates for the US Presidency are hitting back at Donald Trump after he called for America's borders to be closed to all Muslims.

The former Governor of Florida Jeb Bush called Mr. Trump's proposal "unhinged".

Other Republican candidates including Senator Marco Rubio and Carly Fiorina called the idea "ridiculous" and "dangerous".
