Australian Syrian fighter is back downunder, but with no charges brought

An Australian man from Brisbane who fought against Islamic State in Syria is happy to be home but will need help after witnessing some of the worst atrocities against humanity, according to his parents.

Obama terrorism address [clips]

President Obama has told the American people that the United States
must not give in to fear in the wake of last week's mass shooting in
San Bernardino.


It's just the third time the President has spoken directly from the
Oval Office and vowed that groups like the self-proclaimed Islamic
state will be defeated.

In his address he called on the US Congress to do more by stopping
those on no-fly lists from purchasing weapons and once again called
for a ban on assault weapons.

London attack raises questions over transport safety

Police in the United Kingdom are urging witnesses that filmed a stabbing on the London underground to share their footage with investigators. 

A 56-year-old man was seriously wounded in the attack that police are describing as a "terrorist incident."

A knifeman is believed to have shouted "this is for Syria" during the attack and questions are now being raised about safety on London's public transport.

US Air Force Operations in IS Territory Depleting Weaponry

San Bernardino Attacker Linked to ISIS

American officials have leaked information suggesting that the female attacker in San Bernardino pledged allegiance to ISIS on Facebook.

They say 27 year old Tashfeen Malik pledged support to the Islamic State group's leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi before or during that assault which left 14 dead.

They also say that her husband Syed Rizwan Farook appears to have communicated with foreign militants and individuals in nearby Los Angeles.

But White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest is holding back from any official attribution of motive for now.
