FBI probes terror as possible motive in California shootings

Terrorism is one of the motives suspected by the FBI in the San Bernardino California shootings, which left 14 dead and 21 injured.

Officers who first entered the conference room where the attack took place say the scene is nearly impossible to describe.

MAN CONVICTED OVER MAOIST CULT IN LONDON

A man who ran a communist cult in London has been found guilty of child cruelty for imprisoning his own daughter until she was 30.

Aravindan Balakrishnan has also been convicted of sex charges relating to two other members of his cult.

Denmark votes against closer EU ties

Denmark has voted to remain outside of European Union rules  on cross boarder policing and and other home affairs issues.

Police in California have still not identified a motive for shootings at a social service centre which officers who arrived first on the scene are describing as causing 'unspeakable' carnage.

Husband and wife Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik were killed, after themselves shooting dead 14 people in San Bernadino.

Police have found bomb-making equipment and weapons at their home since the attacks on Wednesday.

First Russia-Turkey meeting since downing of jet

US Attorney General speaks on FIFA arrests

U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch has held a news conference addressing the latest arrests in the ongoing investigation into corruption at soccer's world governing body.

This comes after FIFA vice-presidents Alfredo Hawit and Juan Angel Napout were detained in dawn raids in Zurich.

The U.S. Attorney General had tough words for the new defendants, saying they hijacked the world's most popular sport for ill-gotten gains, and that she is determined to see justice served:

San Bernardino police say they may have "intercepted" broader attack

Police in California say the husband and wife who killed 14 people in a shooting spree in San Bernardino yesterday had enough ammunition and weapons to launch at least one more attack on the city.


Farook Syed and Tashfeen Malik were killed by police after a high speed chase.

Journalist's family brings petition to UN; calls for his release from Iranian prison

The family members of the American journalist Jason Rezaian, who's
been in prison in Iran for 500 days on spying charges, are delivering
