Queen Elizabeth II opens Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting

Queen Elizabeth II has opened a Commonwealth leaders summit in Malta, which is expected to focus on climate change and security issues.


The 53 members of the Commonwealth are in attendance, with the Queen announcing the importance of the Commonwealth in tackling global issues.

US Air Force hires civilians to fly drones

The U.S. Air Force has launched a program to hire civilian contractors to fly Reaper drones.

The military says these flights only gather intelligence, but the L.A. Times reports,  the program has been met with criticism, that civilians are inching their way toward a combat role.

Russia's Lavrov says Turkey "crossed the line" in jet downing

Erdogan: Russia's using S-400 against Turkish jets would be agression

Turkish President President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said if Russian S-400 air defense system hits Turkish war jets on Syrian border it would be an aggression against the country's sovereignty. New York mum won't face charges for leaving baby in nativity scene


A woman who left her newborn baby in a Nativity scene inside a New York church will not face criminal charges.

George Nepia's All Blacks jerseys ready for UK Auction

Two Jerseys won my George Nepia in the 1920s are going on sale on Friday at an auction house in Cardiff, Wales.


The All Blacks were undefeated on the 1924-25 tour, with Nepia giving a stand out performance.
