CAMERON SETS OUT EU REFORM PLANS

UK Prime Minister David Cameron has set out a list of demands for EU reform, on which he hopes to base negotiations to keep Britain in the bloc.

The four key suggestions have been sent in a letter to the President of the European Council, and detailed discussions will now take place with EU leaders.

Mr Cameron wants reforms including the protection of the single market for non-euro members; the boosting of competitiveness; the bolstering of national parliaments; and restriction of some benefits for EU migrants.

He's promised to renegotiate the UK's membership of the EU ahead of an in-out referendum by 2017.

And in a keynote speech in London the Prime Minister insisted his suggestions are reasonable.
