Republican Front-runner Admits Autobiographical Fabrication

Republican presidential front-runner Ben Carson has admitted fabricating a personal story from his autobiography.

He described receiving a full scholarship from the elite West Point military academy, which is untrue.

Russia suspended all flights to Egypt

Russia is suspending all flights to Egypt with the country's President Vladimir Putin saying it would be "expedient" to suspend air travel until the conclusion of the investigation into what brought down the Russian jetliner over Egypt last Saturday.

American and British intelligence suggest a bomb may have downed the plane killing all 224 passengers on board.

Dozen missing after mine bursts in Brazil

Brazilian authorities say that one person was killed, four injured and 13 are missing after a damn from an iron ore mine burst. 

The incident occurred in the southeastern mountainous area of Minas Gerais. Nearby towns have also been flooded and affected by mudslides.

US unemployment falls to seven year-low

The unemployment rate in the United States has fallen to 5%- the
lowest its been in seven years.

And with hourly wages getting a boost too, this could have a real
bearing on whether the Federal Reserve decides to raise interest rates
this year.

UK SHARM RESCUE FLIGHTS IN CHAOS

Attempts by British airlines to fly home tourists stranded in Sharm el-Sheikh over security fears are in chaos with easyjet reporting its flights have been suspended by Egyptian authorities.

Obama gives South Africa 60 day notice for suspension of AGOA trade benefits

US President Barack Obama has issued a 60-day notice to Congress and the South African government of his intent to suspend certain trade benefits for South Africa under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA).

It comes after South Africa failed to eliminate long-standing barriers to U.S. poultry, pork, and beef imports - specifically, failing to meet a key deadline on October 15th to resume imports of U.S. poultry.

White House: reviewing safety for flights bound for the US

The White House is reviewing whether additional steps are needed to protect US commercial flights in response to the Russian plane crash.

On Saturday a flight from the Egyptian resort of Sharm el Sheikh bound for St Petersburg crashed killing all 244 people on board.

The UK government believes it was caused by a bomb and has suspended all flights from the airport.

The White House says that "some information has been learned" that supports Britain's suspicions but spokesman Josh Earnest refused to be drawn on details.

Rare Picasso Could Fetch 60 Million At NYC Auction

A double-sided painting by Spanish artist Pablo Picasso titled 'The
Nightclub Singer' is up for auction in New York City Thursday, and
it's expected to fetch at least $60 million dollars. American
businessman William Koch [pronounced Coke] purchased the piece for
around 1.7 million in 1984, but did not realize until years later that
a second painting was hiding on the reverse side of the canvas.
