Solar winds strip Mars of atmosphere needed for life

NASA says it's gathered critical data showing how Mars is losing its atmosphere.

The US space agency believes the Red Planet might once have harbored life, but it says solar winds are stripping away the atmosphere making the climate on the surface unfavorable.

White House: reviewing safety for flights bound for the US

The White House is reviewing whether additional steps are needed to protect US commercial flights in response to the Russian plane crash.

On Saturday a flight from the Egyptian resort of Sharm el Sheikh bound for St Petersburg crashed killing all 244 people on board.

The UK government believes it was caused by a bomb and has suspended all flights from the airport.

The White House says that "some information has been learned" that supports Britain's suspicions but spokesman Josh Earnest refused to be drawn on details.

Gender wage gap exists in all sectors in U.S., says new study

The gender wage gaps exists in all sectors of the work in the U.S., according to a new study by PayScale, Inc.
 
The data shows that married men earn the highest salaries, and single mothers earn the lowest.

CAMERON DEFENDS SHARM FLIGHT SUSPENSION

British Prime Minister David Cameron has defended the suspension of UK flights in and out of Sharm el-Sheikh after talks in London with Egypt's President.

Mr Cameron and President Fattah al-Sisi discussed security at the airport in Sharm-el-Sheikh after the UK claimed a bomb may have brought down a flight on its way to Russia at the weekend.

Rare Picasso Could Fetch 60 Million At NYC Auction

A double-sided painting by Spanish artist Pablo Picasso titled 'The
Nightclub Singer' is up for auction in New York City Thursday, and
it's expected to fetch at least $60 million dollars. American
businessman William Koch [pronounced Coke] purchased the piece for
around 1.7 million in 1984, but did not realize until years later that
a second painting was hiding on the reverse side of the canvas.

Colombia rules in favor of adoption for gay couples

Colombia's constitutional court has lifted a series of restrictions that previously banned same-sex couples from adopting children, unless one of them was the biological parent.

US Secretary of Defense visits carrier in South China Sea

The US Secretary of Defense Ash Carton has visited an aircraft carrier
currently traveling in the disputed South China Sea.

This comes just over a week after a US missile destroyer came within

UK Working to Resume Flights

The British government has announced it is working to resume flights to Saharm el-Sheikh in Egypt, after halting flights between the two destinations on Wednesday evening.

The decision was based on concerns that a bomb may have caused a Russian jet to crash last Saturday.

The British Foreign Office says flights may resume as early as Friday, after imposing a temporary ban on airlines traveling between Sharm-El Sheikh and the UK.

Britain's Foreign Secretary Phillip Hammond said none of the 19 planned flights to the UK would depart on Thursday. However, Egyptian officials have claimed that the country's airports are safe.

Around 20,000 Britons are estimated to be in the popular Egyptian resort.

Last Saturday's flight from the resort to St. Petersburg crashed in the Sainai peninsula killing all 224 people on board. On Wednesday Downing Street said there was concern that a bomb could have caused the crash.

Kremlin Rejects British Suggestion That Sinai Jet Was Bombed

The Kremlin has rejected Britain's suggestion that a bomb is likely to have caused last weekend's Russian plane crash in Egypt.

More Russian Plane Crash Victims Identified as Britain Suspends Sharm el Sheikh Flights


Over 50 of the bodies of passengers who were on board the Russian aeroplane that crashed in Egypt's Sinai desert last Saturday have now been identified.


It comes as the UK has suspended flights to the resort of Sharm el Sheikh, saying there's a possibility that the plane was blown up by an explosive device.
