Putin Calls For ‘Objective Picture’ of Air Crash Tragedy

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that a plane crash that killed 224 people in Egypt's Sinai desert is a great tragedy.


After sending his condolences to the families of the victims, Mr. Putin called on air crash investigators to build up an 'objective picture' of what happened.

UN Remembers 700+ Journalists Killed In Last Decade

The United Nations reports that more than 700 journalists have been
killed in the line of duty in the last decade. To mark the
International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists on
Monday, Secretary General Ban Ki-moon remembered those journalists who
have been killed in conflict situations, and those deliberately
silenced while attempting to report truth.

Visa set to buy Visa Europe

Visa has announced it's set to buy its former subsidiary Visa Europe
in a deal set to cost up in the region of $23.3 billion.

The two units were separated in 2007 and the world's largest credit
and debit card company now hope this move will help them continue to
compete with rivals MasterCard.

Number of migrants and refugees heading to Europe hits highest recorded levels

The month October saw the most migrant and refugee arrivals at the EU's external borders ever recorded.

According to the UN, last month alone more than 218-thousand people reached Europe by sea.

Bodies of Russian plane crash victims delivered to St.Petersburg, await identification

Over 140 bodies of KGL9268 flight passengers recovered from the crash site in Egypt on Saturday have been delivered to Saint Petersburg. The investigators will start identification process on Monday afternoon. Greek banks must find 14.4 billion euro in capital

The European Central Bank has ordered Greece's four largest banks to come up with plans to raise 14 point 4 billion euro to cover themselves in case of another financial crisis.

Russian Official: Egypt Plane 'Broke Up In Mid Air'

A Russian aviation official has said that the plane that crashed in Egypt on Saturday, killing all 224 people on board, 'broke up in mid air'.

Viktor Sorochenko, who's the head of Russia's Interstate Aviation Committee, said it's too early to determine what caused the crash, but debris has been found across a 20 square kilometre area.
