Rampant speculation about VP Biden joining Election 2016 race

U.S. Vice President Joe Biden is close to finally announcing his decision on whether he will join the race to become the Democrats' nominee to run for the White House.

Despite not participating in the first Democratic candidates debate, the Vice President wins 18 percent of voter support in the latest CNN poll. Bernie Sanders gained some support while Hillary Clinton stayed level, despite many positive reviews of her performance.

At the White House, spokesman Josh Earnest acknowledged the Vice President needs to make a decision.

US wants summit to prevent destruction of Syria


Countries involved in the Syrian conflict might meet soon to try to prevent a complete destruction of the country.

Chinese hackers target US companies despite Xi's pledge

Chinese government hackers have tried to penetrate the computer networks of US companies, despite a pledge by China's president that they would not do so.
The hacking has been reported by CrowdStrike, a private firm that helps companies track and prevent intrusions.

NATO begins biggest drills in over a decade

The NATO military alliance is starting three weeks of maneuvers described as its biggest military exercises since 2002.

Russia may increase Syrian air strikes to 300 per day

New UK terror law allows confiscation of under 16's passports
