US urges justice for victims of MH17

The White House says the Dutch report on MH17 is an important step forward in the effort to hold accountable those responsible for the shoot-down of the aircraft and the killing of those aboard.

The Dutch investigators have concluded that a Russian-made Buk missile system brought down the Malaysian Airlines jet over Ukraine.

Dutch report stops short of placing the blame for the MH17 downing

The Dutch Safety Board report confirmed a Russia-made BUK missile hit the MH17 passenger jet flying over Eastern Ukraine in July 2014 killing 298 people onboard. However the investigation stopped short of placing the blame for the catastrophe. The families of the MH17 crash victims would have to wait for the criminal investigation report to be released next year to find out who's responsible for the catastrophe.
