RWANDA SPY CHIEF EXTRADITION CASE DISMISSED IN UK

A UK court has dismissed an extradition case against Rwanda's spy chief which had harmed relations between the two countries.

General Karenzi Karake had been on bail after being arrested in the British capital in June, under a warrant issued by Spain.

He had been indicted by a Spanish judge in 2008 on allegations of genocide, crimes against humanity and terrorism.

But now the British court system says the extradition cannot go ahead because the allegations - which the General denies - do not relate to a British citizen.
