US focused more on good deal, less on Iran talks deadline

The U.S. says it is more focused on getting a good deal that the P5+1 can live with when it comes to the negotiations underway in Vienna over Iran's nuclear programme.

Earlier, Iran's foreign minister Javad Zarif indicated that Tehran is also open to missing the deadline of June 30, as long as there is the political will to actually get a deal done.

U.S. State Department spokesman John Kirby refused however to discuss the details of the talks.
