US cracks ISIS intel as airstrikes continue

The U.S. has been exploiting intelligence gathered in a U.S. special forces raid on last month in eastern Syria.

The U.S. military is confirming coalition jets have completed nearly two dozen airstrikes against Islamic State related targets in Syria and Iraq.

Family of Yemen drone victims sue the US

The relatives of two men killed during an American airstrike on Yemen have filed a lawsuit against the US, claiming the hit "violated the laws of war".

The drone strike, conducted in August 2012, targeted three suspected terrorists; Salem bin Ali Jaber and Waleed bin Ali Jaber were bystanders.

Day 3 of manhunt for escaped New York convicts

The manhunt continues for convicted killers Richard Matt and David
Sweat, who escaped from a prison in upstate New York over the weekend.

The two, who were first discovered missing early Saturday morning, are
believed to have orchestrated their escape using power tools to penetrate the prison walls.

Study Shows Middle East Peace Could Add Over $170 billion To Region's Economies


A new report from a Washington DC thinktank has said the Israeli and Palestinian economies could gain around 173 billion dollars in ten years, if a peace deal were struck that led to an independent Palestine.

The RAND corporation estimates that such an agreement would translate to an average income increase of a thousand dollars for each Palestinian, and over two thousand dollars for each Israeli.

UN Report Details 'Human Rights Violations' in Eritrea

The United Nations has accused Eritrea of crimes against humanity, in
a new report detailing human rights violations in the East African
state. UN investigators said in a statement the human rights abuses
were happening on a "scale seldom witnessed elsewhere," and that up to

Islamic State, cyber security, FIFA on G7 agenda

U.S. President Barack Obama says significant progress has been made against the Islamic State, but more needs to be done.

He and coalition partners are reviewing their strategy, but following his meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Abadi, says Baghdad has more to do as well.

UK Prime Minister says he hasn't given MPs Ultimatum on EU

UK Prime Minister David Cameron has denied that he has given his ministers an 'ultimatum' on the EU referendum, saying his comments were misinterpreted.


Downing Street has denied that comments made at the G7 summit in Germany meant that Mr Cameron had ordered his party to back him on staying in a reformed European union, or leave the government.

3,500 migrants rescued in the Mediterranean over the weekend

European navel forces rescued 3 thousand 5 hundred migrants in total from traffickers boats in the mediterranean sea over the weekend.

It's thought to have been one of the busiest weekends of the year with the number of migrants boarding the boats increasing during the summer due to the calmer waters.

Murderers Escape NY Prison With Power Tools, Manhunt Underway

Police are searching for two convicted murderers who escaped from New York state’s largest maximum security prison over the weekend, by cutting through their cell walls with power tools. Guards discovered that Richard Matt, 48, and David Sweat, 34, were missing from their beds during an early morning bed check. New York's Governor Andrew Cuomo said investigators are working to determine how the men acquired cutting tools while in custody.
