Curfew, State of Emergency end in Baltimore

An overnight curfew has been lifted in Baltimore, one week after violent protests broke out in the city over the death-in-custody of  25 year old Freddie Gray.

Six police officers are now facing charges in connection with the African-American's killing.

And the city's authorities are coming under criticism for keeping the curfew in place for so long.

Theater shooting trial hears testimony from victims, police

The second week of the Batman theater shooting trial gets underway this week, with more victims and emergency responders slated to testify.

Prosecutors, who are seeking the death penalty, say that 27 year-old James Holmes was a "calculating killer" who opened fire in a crowded movie theater in 2012. Defense lawyers admit he was the gunman, but say he was suffering from a schizophrenic episode.

UK LEADERS HEAD INTO FINAL WEEKEND OF CAMPAIGNING

Britain's political leaders are back on the campaign trail after a TV grilling - 6 days out from the most unpredictable general election in decades.

Some polls have edged towards the Conservatives in recent days but still suggest a hung parliament and a difficult path to government for the party.
