Hillary Clinton to announce Presidential candidacy "this weekend"

Hillary Clinton will reportedly announce her bid for the US Presidency as early as this weekend, according to reports in the United States.

She's the runaway front-runner in the race for the Democratic Party's nomination in the battle to succeed Barack Obama in the White House.

Dash Cam Videos Released in South Carolina Shooting

South Carolina Law Enforcement has released  dash cam videos in connection with the fatal shooting of an unarmed black man by a white policeman in South Carolina. 

Walter Scott was shot and killed as he  ran away from a policeman who says he stopped him for a broken tail light.

Family of South Carolina man killed by police say they will sue

The family of the African-American man killed by police in South Carolina say they plan to file a federal suit against the police department.

US says Chinese dredging operation "destabilizes" South China Sea

The United States is accusing China of destabilizing the disputes over territory in the South China Sea, after revelations that the country is engaged in a sizable land reclamation project hundreds of miles from the Chinese mainland.


Satellite imagery analyzed by a Washington-based think tank shows several Chinese vessels supporting a reclamation project on a reef about 150 miles from the Philippines.

UNSG warns of civilian toll in Yemen and Yarmouk refugee camp, urges nations to seek solution

Iran's Supreme Leader wants US sanctions lifted immediately

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has demanded all sanctions on his country are lifted once a final agreement over a nuclear deal is signed.

President Obama says the sanctions would be removed in phases once the agreement is secured.

Speaking on State television, Khamenei said he would "neither support nor oppose the deal", which was reached last week between Iran and six world powers in Switzerland.

Greece's PM says hopes Greece can become a Russia-EU bridge

Greece repays debt installment to IMF

The Greek government says it has repaid its installment of 460 million euros to the International Monetary Fund.

It comes as eurozone countries warn Greece has until April 24th to put together a revised plan for reforms in order to receive its next bailout fund of 7.2 billion euro.

Half of countries miss UN education target

According to a United Nations report 58 million children around the
world are getting no education with a further 100 million who start
primary school never finishing.

President Obama will talk about energy security with Caribbean nations

Facebook privacy lawsuit begins in Vienna

US warns Iran over Yemen

Tsarnaev lawyers face battle to avoid death penalty

Defence lawyers for the convicted Boston marathon bomber Dzhokar Tsarnaev are preparing to try and save his life at the penalty phase in the trial.


His conviction yesterday on 30 separate counts leaves him eligible for a death sentence.
