U.S. economy added 126,000 jobs in March disappointing expectations

Black box shows Germanwings plane accelerated while descending

Investigators have recovered new data from the flight recorder of Germanwings flight 9525 that supports the theory that the co-pilot crashed the plane intentionally. 

The aircraft went down in the French Alps, killing all 150 people on board.

Ukraine signs new short term gas agreement with Russia

Ukraine has signed a new short term agreement to buy natural gas from Russia at a lower price.


The deal comes despite a year of disagreements over pricing and supply and the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine.

Indiana governor Mike Pence has approved amendments to the controversial new "religious freedom" law that went into effect last week.

This comes after widespread criticism of the law on grounds that it could have allowed businesses to discriminate against homosexuals.

UK reflects on seven-way leaders debate


Ahead of the UK's General Elections, a two-hour long televised debate has taken place, involving the seven leaders of Britain's main political parties.


It's the only debate the incumbent UK Prime Minister, David Cameron, is taking part in, following weeks of negotiations upon what format it should take.

Arkansas and Indiana pass revised religious objection acts

Terror suspect extradited from Pakistan to US

An American citizen suspected of being an al-Qaeda operative has been
arraigned in a New York court.

Seven party leaders in the UK have taken part in a live televised debate ahead of the general election next month...

Framework For Final Iran Deal Reached in Lausanne

Iran and six world powers have reached the framework of an agreement to curb Iran's nuclear program, after long talks in Switzerland.

The accord, agreed in Lausanne, will allow for further negotiations on the details of a final deal, to be reached by the end of June.

US Secretary of State: Iran Framework 'A Solid Foundation' for a Deal

US Secretary of State John Kerry has commended the framework deal with Iran over its nuclear programme, calling it a critical milsetone.

At least 70 students killed by Islamic extremists in Kenya

INTRO: Kenyan authorities have confirmed that at least 70 students were killed by Islamic extremists in an attack on a university in the town of Garissa in north eastern Kenya.
