Jewish MP thrown out of Australian parliament after objecting to Nazi reference

Uproar on Thursday in Australia's federal parliament after the prime Minister again used a reference to Nazi Germany during a parliamentary attack on the opposition.

Russian President Putin admits sanctions are doing damage

Russian President Vladimir Putin has acknowledged that international sanctions over Russia's actions in Crimea and eastern Ukraine are damaging Russia's economic progress.


He made the comments at a state organised rally to celebrate a year since Russia's annexation of the Crimea peninsula.

US embassies in Djibouti, Saudi Arabia to close to public

The U.S. embassies in Djibouti and Saudi Arabia will be closed to the public at least through Sunday, March 22.

The temporary shut down comes with warnings to Americans in the region to be extra aware of their surroundings.

Dieudonne found guilty of condoning terrorism

French comedian Dieudonné M'bala M'bala [Do done ay embala embala] was found guilty of condoning terrorism for a Facebook post he made in the wake of the January terror attacks in Paris.

White House voices 'deep concerns' over Netanyahu remarks, as Sec. Kerry congratulates PM on win

The White House is deeply concerned about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's suggestion that left-wingers were trying to drive up the number of Arab-Israeli voters to sway the election against him.  

Mr Netanyahu soundly defeated his main rival Issac Herzog to win a fourth term in office.

Ahead of his reelection the Prime Minister announced he would not allow a Palestinian state to be formed as long as he is running the country.

22 tourists killed by gunmen in Tunisian musuem

A museum in Tunisia has been the target of a terror attack by two gunmen who opened fire and killed more than 22 mainly European tourists as well as a museum worker and police officer.

The attackers were later shot by authorities.

Protests outside ECB turn violent

Anti-austerity demonstrations outside the European Central Bank in Frankfurt have already turned violent after protesters torched police cars and threw stones at officers. 

The march was organised by several leftist groups as a peaceful protest against the bank's new multi million dollar headquarters while enforcing austerity across Europe... 

Subsequent clashes though saw more than a dozen activists and officers injured.

Envelope Containing Cyanide Sent To White House

The Secret Service has confirmed that an envelope was sent to the White House this week containing cyanide.

A spokesman said that although initial biological testing was negative for the poison, a chemical test later returned a positive result.

Seven tourists and one Tunisian killed in deadly militant attack

Tunisia's interior ministry says seven foreigners and one Tunisian have been killed in a deadly attack by militants on the country's parliament building and a museum nearby- where hostages have reportedly been taken.

The attack follows the killing of one of Tunisia's most wanted militants in Libya- a member of the radical Ansar al-Shariah group, implicated in the September 2012 assault on the U.S. embassy in Tunis.

UK's jobless falls, number in work at all-time high

The number of people out of work in the UK has fallen in the first thee months of the year, giving a boost to the Conservative-Lib Dem coalition Government led by David Cameron.
