U.S. Justice Dep’t condemns racial bias among Ferguson police

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has lambasted police in Ferguson, Missouri for a pattern of racial bias against blacks.

This in a press conference unveiling the findings of a months-long federal investigation spurred by the controversial shooting death of black teen Michael Brown by a white police officer.

White House pleased with opening of Supreme Court Obamacare challenge

The White House says it is pleased with the way opening arguments have played out, as the Supreme Court hears a challenge to the constitutionality of President Obama's landmark health care bill.

The justices seemed split in their opinions, and White House Spokesman Josh Earnest says he cannot predict the outcome of their vote.

New York jury convicts 28 year old Pakistani on bomb plot charges

A jury in New York has convicted a 28 year-old Pakistani man of conspiring to blow up a shopping center in the north of England on behalf of Al Qaeda.


After nearly two days of deliberations, the jury found Abid Naseer guilty on all counts.


He faces a possible life sentence after MI5 agents testified against him in disguise.

US Republicans accuse Hilary Clinton over 'email scandal'

According to the US State department Hilary Clinton turned in 55-thousand pages of emails that covered her four years as Secretary of State.  

However, some Republicans have accused her of violating the law.  

But White House Spokesperson Josh Earnest said Ms Clinton acted "in compliance with the Federal Records Act."

China Takes A Stand on Cybersecurity Measures

China is standing firm on its plan to make tech companies abide by strict cybersecurity measures, even though U.S. President Barack Obama has that won't work for U.S. companies. 

The rules are part of a proposed counter terrorism law set to be discussed by the National People’s Congress, which opens on Thursday.

Boston Bomber's lawyer admits his involvement in attack

On the opening day of the Boston Marathon Bombing trial, the
defendant's lawyer has admitted he was involved in the attacks.

However, Judy Clarke, the lawyer for accuser bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev,
said he had been influenced by his late older brother.

Three people were killed and 260 others were injured in April 2013
when two homemade bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston
Marathon.

Mexico captures leader of Zetas drug gang

Mexican security forces have arrested the leader of the Zetas drug cartel, Omar Trevino Morales, also known as "Z-42".

Alabama counties stop issuing marriage licenses after ruling

Some counties in the southern American state of Alambama have stopped issuing marriage licenses after a new ruling on same-sex marriage for that state.

Hillary Clinton aides call e-mail flap "manufactured controversy"

Italian coast guards rescue hundreds of migrants in the last 24 hours

At least ten migrants have died in the mediterranean sea, despite an operation by Italian coast guards to rescue around 130 people aboard a rubber boat which had overturned. 

The Italian ship was already carrying more than 300 migrants rescued from another vessel on Tuesday - the latest of seven total mission carried out by Italian rescue boats in the last 24 hours.
