According to Human Rights Watch the Syrian government dropped barrel
bombs on hundreds of locations last year.
This comes after a United Nations resolution was passed in February
2014 calling on all parties to end the indiscriminate employment of
weapons in populated areas.

Fallon confirms military deployment to Ukraine
Britain's Defence Secretary has said the UK is considering further requrests for support from Ukraine but will not be sending combat troops to help Kiev fight pro-Russian rebels.

FIFA RULES OUT 2022 COMPENSATION
FIFA says it will not compensate football clubs or leagues who will have to rearrange domestic fixtures as a result of the 2022 Qatar World Cup being played in November and December.
A FIFA executive committee will meet next month to ratify a taskforce recommendation that the tournament is moved from the summer to avoid Qatar's searing temperatures at that time of year.
Some domestic leagues and clubs are angry about the disruption this will cause to their seasons.
But while world football's governing body says it will not apologise for the unusual dates, it says it will slightly shorten the tournament.

A man's been found guilty of the murder of US Navy Seal Chris Kyle - who wrote the American Sniper memoir which became an Oscar-nominated movie.
Eddie Ray Routh was convicted of fatally shooting Chris Kyle and his friend Chad Littlefield at a gun range in Texas in 2013.
He's been sentenced to life in prison without parole.
