GRESTE TO 'WORK FOR FAHMY AND MOHAMED' CAIRO RELEASE

The family of journalist Peter Greste says he will not rest until his Al Jazeera colleagues are released from prison in Egypt.

Mr Greste was deported from Egypt on Sunday after 400 days behind bars - having been accused of spreading false news and aiding the Muslim Brotherhood.

His colleagues Mohamed Fahmy and Baher Mohamed remain in prison.

Mr Fahmy may reportedly be released soon, but fears remain for Mr Mohamed, who only holds Egyptian nationality.

Speaking in Brisbane, Peter Greste's mother Lois said he has worked hard to stay strong during the last 400 days.
